Equipment Description:
There are four diesel driven electric generator power units. Each unit is self contained, water cooled, with automatic air start. The engines are Delaval (Enterprise) model DSRV16-4. The generators were manufactured by Portec and are rated at 7,000 KW continuous, for 8,000 hours per year, 6900 VAC, 3 phase, 60 Hz., 0.8 PF.
The sale includes:
· the engines and all auxiliary components (pumps, day tanks, coolers, interconnecting piping, and engine control cabinets)
· the generators and generator control cabinets
· the starting air system (compressors, dryers, receivers, and interconnecting piping)
The subject units are uniquely identified as follows:
Unit 1-A (Enterprise S/N 75080-2842) 1,111 operating hours
Unit 1-B (Enterprise S/N 75081-2844) 957 operating hours
Unit 2-A (Enterprise S/N 75082-2845) 1.5 operating hours - This unit never used.
Unit 2-B (Enterprise S/N 75083-2846 0.3 operating hours - This unit never used.
The units were designed to provide emergency power. Units 1-A and 1-B were operated occasionally to provide peaking power.
The following is general design and performance information:
four cycle, 16 cylinder (17" bore X 21" stroke)
approximately 9800 brake horsepower at 450 rpm
approximately 506 gallons on fuel per hour at full load (.366 bsfc at full load, 50 in hg boost)
each unit has two Elliot turbo chargers
the units are air start (each unit is supplied by two Ingersoll Rand compressors)
the units in emergency standby service can start, reach operating speed, and begin accepting load within 5 seconds
engine speed and load control is provided by Woodward electronic governor with Woodward mechanical governor backup
synchronous speed is 450 rpm with overspeed trip at 470 rpm
can operate in normal mode or emergency mode, in emergency mode all protective trips are disabled except overspeed and bus differential
engine protective controls are pneumatic with ARO pneumatic logic board and Ronan annunciator
each cylinder has a removeable liner
engines are provided with jacket water and lube oil keep warm systems
heat sink for lube oil cooler is provided through jacket water system
heat sink for jacket water is provided by user
pneumatic barring system on each engine
the generators operate at 60 cycles at synchronous speed (450 rpm)
electrical output, 7MW, 8750kva, at 6.9kv, 732 amps, .8 power factor
field is 125 vdc, 244 amps
rated for continuous duty with 10% overload for two hours
